Add preorder configuration to custom product sections (featured product section)
This guide provides detailed instructions on how to add a preorder configuration to custom product sections in Shopify using the DC Preorder Shopify app. For this example, we will be focusing on the 'Featured Product' section, but the steps can be applied to other sections as well.
Prerequisites
- Ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify the theme files in your Shopify store. If not, consult with your system administrator or the person who manages your Shopify permissions.
- You should have the DC Preorder Shopify app installed and correctly set up.
Steps to Add Preorder Configuration to Custom Product Sections
Step 1: Access the Theme Editor
Start by logging into your Shopify admin panel. Navigate to Online Store
from the left sidebar and then click on the Customize
button next to the theme you want to modify.
Step 2: Navigate to the Desired Page
On the next screen, you'll see a preview of your website with a sidebar menu. Using this menu, navigate to the page where you want to add the preorder configuration.
Step 3: Locate the Featured Section
Once you've navigated to the correct page, look for the 'Featured Product' section (or the custom section you want to modify). The sections will be listed in the sidebar menu.
Step 4: Add the Preorder Configuration Block
After locating the 'Featured Product' section, click on it. You will see an Add Block
button. Click on this button and select Preorder Configuration
from the list of available blocks.
Step 5: Configure the Preorder Settings
The product for the preorder should be automatically selected, inheriting the settings from the featured product. However, if you wish to assign the preorder configuration to a different product or if this isn't autofilled, you can do so by changing the product selection.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Finally, once you've made all the necessary changes, click the Save
button located at the top right corner of the sidebar.
You have now successfully added a preorder configuration to a custom product section in your Shopify store. If you encounter any issues or need additional help with this process, please don't hesitate to reach out for assistance.
